The Metaphysics of Ibn ‘Arabi

Ibn 'Arabi and Modern Thought: The History of Taking Metaphysics Seriously“These penetrating metaphysical and spiritual teachings cross the divides of culture and time, providing unexpectedly modern insight.”

This is a book I’ve just begun to read myself. So far I’m very impressed at Peter Coates highlighting of the relevance of Ibn ‘Arabi’s work to modern thought and the immense treasure of the master’s ontological and epistemological teachings. Peter Coates is one of several scholars who are translating the work of Ibn ‘Arabi as well as commenting on it and interpreting it for its relevance to the world today.
